Article Processing Charge

Civil Engineering Science and Technology is an open access journal. All published articles are freely accessible and can be read or downloaded without any charges.

Article submission, review process, and publication are generally free of charge, as part of the journal’s commitment to supporting the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

However, starting from January 2026, the journal implements an updated Article Processing Charge (APC) policy as follows:

  • National/International Authors: USD 50

These fees are applied only to articles that have been accepted for publication.

Detailed Fee Structure

  • Article Submission Fee: 0.00 (IDR/USD)
    Authors are not required to pay any submission fee.
  • Review Fee:
    1. Regular Review: 0.00 (IDR/USD)
    2. Fast-Track Review: 0.00 (IDR/USD)
      Fast-track review is provided based on author request and editorial consideration.
  • Article Publication Fee (APC):
    Applied only after acceptance:
    • USD 50 

Waiver Policy

The journal is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent the publication of high-quality research.

Authors may request a partial or full waiver of the Article Processing Charge (APC) under the following conditions:

  • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries
  • Authors with proven financial limitations
  • Invited papers or selected high-quality submissions recommended by the editorial board
  • Special cases based on editorial consideration

All waiver requests must be submitted before or at the time of acceptance, along with a clear justification. Each request will be evaluated confidentially by the editorial team.

The decision to grant a waiver does not influence the editorial decision-making process, and all manuscripts are evaluated solely based on their academic merit.

Prior to this policy (before January 2026), all publication costs were fully covered by Universitas Sains dan Teknologi Komputer. The introduction of APC is intended to support sustainable journal management and improve publication quality.
